According to Tom’s Hardware’s news report, Apple recently filed a patent application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a keyboard with a built-in computer that can be plugged into any external display.

This recall applies to 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops manufactured between September 2015 and February 2017.
It functions more like the Mac Mini and can be connected to an external monitor. The new keyboard is an actual keyboard so all you need is a trackpad or mouse and a monitor or TV.

Apple’s patent filing suggests that the Magic Keyboard with Mac has an active fan and a body that can be thermally conductive to avoid heat.
